As a beauty YouTuber, I am always testing out new makeup. With that being said, it can get expensive! So recently I opted to try and find the best dupes for popular high end makeup that I love. Here are some of my favorite tried and true drugstore dupes for popular high end makeup products!
Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer vs. E.L.F. Poreless Putty Primer
If you are a lover of the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer, then you should give the E.L.F. Poreless Putty Primer a go. It’s $30 cheaper, and delivers the same, of not better outcome. I personally find the Tarte primer to pill and go patchy when I apply my foundation, but I’ve never experienced this issue with the E.L.F. primer.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation vs. L’Oreal True Match Tinted Serum
I’ve been a longtime lover of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, but it is pricey. Recently L’Oreal launched their new True Match Nude Tinted Serum foundation and it is AMAZING. Since purchasing, I’ve been using it religiously and have received so many compliments on my skin. While the formula is much more runny than the Armani foundation, it delivers the same effect. Both give a luminous, hydrated look to the skin with buildable coverage. I would say both give a light-medium coverage. So if $64 is out of your budget, try this $19 dupe!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer vs. L’Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer
Almost everyone who has tried the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer loves it, myself included. However $30 for a concealer is a bit steep, so when I found the L’Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer I was stoked. I had a suspicion they would be similar, as both have the word “radiant” in their name. The L’Oreal concealer is a bit lighter in coverage, but can be built up to be a medium coverage, while the NARS concealer starts off as a medium coverage. The consistency of the L’Oreal concealer is a bit more liquidy, but they both deliver the same outcome.
Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finishing Powder vs. No7 Lift + Luminate Finishing Powder
I love basically anything Charlotte Tilbury, including the flawless finishing powder. However I recently discovered a great dupe! The No7 Lift & Luminate Finishing Powder is not only similar in packaging, but delivers an identical result. This particular packaging is only available in America, but if you’re located in Europe then look for the No7 Flawless Finishing Powder.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit vs. Revolution Beauty Contour Palette
I’ve used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit for years, up until recently when I found this amazing Revolution Beauty Contour Palette dupe. The colors are slightly warmer in the Revolution palette, which is the only downside for me, however for $10 I can live with that.
Bare Minerals Faux Tan Bronzer vs. Bare Face Minerals Medium Copper Bronzer
The Bare Minerals Faux Tan loose bronzer is another one I have been using for many years, over a decade to be exact. It seems lately it’s been harder to come by, so I’m not sure if it has been discontinued or not. The Bare Face Minerals Bronzer in Medium Copper is almost identical in packaging, with the same loose powder concept. The downside is I believe it is only available from their UK store or on Amazon UK, as I have not been able to find it anywhere in America.
NARS Orgasm Blush vs. Catrice Cheek Lover Oil-infused Blush
When I tell you I screamed when I found this dupe for the NARS Orgasm Blush… The Catrice Cheek Lover Oil Infused Blush in Blooming Hibiscus is such an incredibly underrated dupe. In fact I don’t think I’ve heard anybody else mention it as being a dupe anywhere! They both give that same warm pink shimmer effect, and both have gold flecks. Honestly it’s a must!
Becca Cosmetics Moonstone Highlighter vs. Makeup Revolution Just My Type Highlighter
A lot of people were really disappointed when The Becca Moonstone highlighter was discontinued, and when the brand went under, including myself. Thankfully I found this $7 dupe from Makeup Revolution in the shade Just My Type. Both have that pretty champagne color and that blinding highlight to match.
MAC Shape + Shade Brow Tint vs. NYX Lift + Snatch Brow Tint
This is the only one on here where I will say do not even waste your money on the high end version. The MAC Shape + Shade Brow Tint pen is the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent on a makeup product. Seriously, it hardly works at all. To be sure I didn’t just buy a dud, I repurchased it THREE times. Thankfully NYX came out with their Lift + Snatch Brown Tint Pen, which is absolutely phenomenal. I’ve had mine now for awhile, and it still has not run out or dried up.
Tartelette In Bloom Palette vs. Wet n Wild Always Naked Palette
My Tartelette In Bloom Palette is easily my favorite and most used eyeshadow palette ever. It was also extremely difficult to dupe. However Wet n Wild recently launched their new Always Naked Eyeshadow Palette looks nearly identical. It also has 16 shades, while the Tarte palette has 12. This one is a total steal in my opinion!
Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara vs. Maybelline Sky High Mascara
The Benefit Bad Gal Bang mascara still remains my favorite glam mascara of all time. However I found a much more affordable dupe in the Maybelline Sky High Mascara. You can see that the brushes are very similar, and both have silicone bristles. They both provide extreme lengthening and some added volume.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick vs. Wet n Wild Bare It All Lipstick
The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick is a cult favorite because it’s meant to be a universally flattering pinky-nude shade. I’ve been using the Wet n Wild Bare It All lipstick for years, and discovered it was the perfect dupe to the Pillow Talk lipstick. Not only is the formula so similar, but that shades are nearly identical when swatched. For the price, you simply can’t beat it!
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Liner vs. NYX Peekaboo Neutral Liner
If you’ve been looking to dupe the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat pencil in Pillow Talk, then look no further. The NYX Peekaboo Neutral liner is for you! Even on screen you can see the swatches look the same, and in person you truly cannot tell the difference.
