I am kind of a hair product snob. I’ve always loved to experiment with new hair products, and yet I am RARELY satisfied with them. Although I don’t color my hair and rarely cut it, I do like to style it, often with heat (sigh, I know, terrible). I also have very curly hair naturally, which I’ve only recently begun wearing that way again. For the last year or so I’ve been getting keratin treatments done to my hair, which I absolutely love. However, I was also straightening it way too frequently. Now I am currently transitioning back to my natural hair. That being said, these products are great for all hair types, not just curly hair! So don’t navigate away just yet đŸ™‚
Indian Hemp and Tamanu Deep Treatment Masque
I cannot say enough good things about this product. It is by far my all time favorite hair product I have ever used. It really does make your hair so soft, even when it’s super dry and brittle. It works great on all hair types whether your a curly girl, have fine hair, thick hair, oil, or irritated scalp. I use this once to twice a week depending on how dry my hair is feeling. For best results I apply it roots to ends on my dry, detangled hair. I then comb it through and put a shower cap on my head and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then I shampoo and condition as normal. I was crushed when I could no longer find it for sale in any of my local drugstores. Luckily it’s available online and best of all, it’s super affordable! It’s cruelty free, sulfate and paraben free and contains no harsh chemicals.
Jamaican Black Castor Oil
If you are looking to improve the length and thickness of your hair, then this will be your holy grail. Castor oil is amazing for hair and eyelash growth, and this brand is the best in my opinion. However if you don’t want to take my word for it, over 6 thousand amazon reviewers also agree. You only want to use this on your roots, as it’s very thick and will weigh down your hair. Massage into your scalp and leave on for 30 minutes or overnight. Shampoo and condition as normal.
Moroccan Argan Oil
If you love a good hair oil, but find that coconut oil is too heavy/greasy and your hair is having trouble absorbing it, then try argan oil. Argan oil is a super lightweight oil that won’t weigh down your hair, but will still help moisturize it and give it a nice shine. I always apply it right after the shower on my towel dry hair, as well as once my hair is fully dried. I apply the majority of the product to the length and ends of my hair, and whatever is left over on my palms I gently run over the top of my head to help with flyaways.
DevaCurl Buildup Buster
If you use a lot of hair products on a regular basis, or just find that your hair is feeling more limp or greasier than usual, then this is the product for you. I use this even when my hair is being worn straight, so it isn’t just for curly girls. Apply it all over the roots of your hair and leave in for about 5 minutes, then shampoo and condition as normal. It will get rid of all the crap that has been building up in your scalp.
Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer
This dryer is designed to literally give you a salon quality blow out. It offers several different heat settings, and allows you to get closer to your scalp for ultimate lift. It’s technology provides a quicker drying time, and saves you the hassle of having to style afterwards because it’s a two in one! I will be sharing a YouTube video review soon, so stay tuned!
